The general procedure is, dyes are added to the cellulose acetate, the material is rolled into thin sheets, the frame shapes are cut out from them, and then the frames are polished and assembled.
Step one: dyes are added to the prepared cellulose acetate.

Step two: Cutting the Frame Shape.
The shape of the glasses is cut from the cellulose acetate sheet by a machine called a CNC milling machine. This machine engraves the lens holes, hinge grooves, and the notch for the nose bridge to fabricate the front part of the frame.
Step three: Polishing the spectacle frames.
Firstly, a powerful polishing wheel is used to grind away any filling marks or chisel marks. Then, a softer wheel is employed to smooth the cellulose acetate. Finally, micro-polishing is carried out in a drum filled with small pieces of beech and birch.
Last step: Assembly.
Rivets and hinges are added, and the temples are screwed onto the front of the frame by hand individually. Also, a core wire is inserted into each temple to prevent them from deforming.
